Speech and Language Summer Camp

Make this summer count with Itsie’s Bitsies. Our program is designed to boost your child’s speech, language, and literacy skills through a play-based therapeutic approach. Led by a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist, we seamlessly integrate individualized goals into engaging activities, ensuring your child grows while they play.
Camp will be held in McKenzie Towne at Tiny Towne Schoolhouse (SE Calgary).

2026 Speech & Language Summer Camps

At Itsie’s Bitsies Speech & Language Summer Camps, our play-based themes help children build speech, language, pre-literacy, and social communication skills—all while staying active with crafts and movement.

    • Whole group & small group intervention included each day. One-on-one intervention included during the week as well.

    • Home activities are provided throughout the week to further extend your child’s learning and practice with goal areas.

    • Themed rhymes, finger plays and story list to be provided for the week.

    • Camp summary - goal areas worked on & successful strategies.

    • Itsie’s Bitsies Frisbee

    • Children between the ages of 3 - 7 years old.

    • Children with a documented delay in Receptive (understanding) Language, Expressive (use of) Language and/or Speech Sound Production/Articulation/Phonology/Apraxia of Speech are given first priority.

    • Please send your child’s report, treatment summary and/or IPP at the time of registration. SLP will review eligibility. This will also assist in appropriate planning and preparation for camp.

    • ***If you have not yet worked with an SLP but have concerns regarding your child’s speech and language development, please e-mail britney@itsiesbitsies.com to discuss your concerns and eligibility may be approved without prior speech and language support.***

    • If your child has another developmental delay or is typically developing and would like to attend, please email the above email address to discuss and you can be added to a waitlist.

    • We ask that your child is:

      • Able to follow simple routine directions.

      • Toilet Trained.

      • Able to attend camps unassisted. We operate in a small space with 2 - 3 staff and a small number of children. *We will consider a maximum of two campers attending with an assistant.

      • Uses at least 50 words/word approximations.

    • One Week of Camp: $550

    • Two weeks of camp: $1000

    Camp fees are due no later than one week prior to camp start date. Payment can be made in the form of e-transfer or cheque. A detailed receipt will be provided for you to submit for reimbursement, should you have any coverage for speech therapy.

    • Indoor Shoes

    • Snack

    • Water Bottle

    • Change of clothes: For messy play and/or any accidents

    • Any additional items recommended for camp activities will be requested prior to camp start date

    • Camp runs Monday - Friday

    • 9:00am - 12:00pm

    • 10 Campers

    *Camp Capacity may increase if additional staff/student volunteers are brought on

  • Camps are run in Mckenzie Towne (SE Calgary), out of Tiny Towne Schoolhouse.
